TOURISM IN BIARRITZ

see https://www.destination-biarritz.fr/en/

The Essentials in Biarritz - Destination Biarritz

-        The Rock of the Virgin

This emblematic place in Biarritz juts out into the ocean, like a protector for sailors.

-        The fisherman’s Port

This place looks like a small village with its pretty fishermen's huts with colorful shutters. Owned by the city, there are 66 of them and you have to have a boat moored in the port to be able to rent one.

-        The Halles of Biarritz

Built in 1885 on the site of the former Jeu de Paume, Les Halles is an essential meeting point in Biarritz with its many food shops and restaurants.

-        Villa Belza

The silhouette of this residence built in the 1880s is inseparable from the panorama of Biarritz. Its neo-medieval style has also allowed it to regularly serve as a film set. It also had a glorious past as a major venue for parties and receptions. Today, it is divided into apartments.

-        The municipal Casino

This Art Deco style building (listed as a Historic Monument since 1992) has been facing the Grande Plage since 1929. It is located on the former site of the Napoleonic Baths. It houses the gaming establishment as well as reception rooms for many events.

-        The lighthouse

As soon as you arrive at Pointe Saint-Martin, you can only be charmed by the view at the foot of the Lighthouse. Then, once at the top (73m above the ocean) of this building built in 1834, the panorama of the Basque-Landes coastline is breathtaking. A visit not to be missed!

-        And many others!!!
